Tezuka hasn’t grown much since his Junior High days, about five feet eleven inches (5’11”) but that isn’t to say he hasn’t changed. While he was known for playing tennis in his Junior High days, those days are essentially over. He does play recreationally but he has given up his dream of going pro. Despite that, his skills haven’t waned; he can still hit a mean zero shiki drop shot.

Surprisingly now, Tezuka knows a broad range of emotions, not just apathy. This ‘transformation’ took place when he left Japan at the end of Junior High and went to high school in Germany. There was something there, maybe it was the brew, or perhaps just the people that made Tezuka open up a bit more. That isn’t to say that he’s changed completely. There are vestiges of the old Tezuka, the short answers are still there though he tries to supplement them as much as he can. And of course his rimless glasses, which he has kept because he hated how irritated contacts made his eyes, but on special occasions, he will don contacts.

He’s not reserved when it comes to telling people how he feels. He found that this was more effective rather than just letting others see him when he’s annoyed. He isn’t easily angered and thinks situations through before making a decision, just like he was always known for back in his Junior High days. There was only one instance where he made a rash decision and that involved dying streaks of black into his hair, which he keeps a little longer. Of course the result was much appreciated among his ‘fans’ at school and so he kept the look.

And of course with this new personality and new hairstyle, he was gifted with a new wardrobe, thanks to help with his friends he met while in high school. Now he is dressed more age appropriate, meaning jeans and t-shirts instead of strictly button up dress shirts or workout clothes. He’s grown an attachment to having some kind of chain somewhere, be it a chain connecting his wallet to his pants or a necklace. On his right middle finger there is always a silver ring that belonged to his grandfather, who gave it to him before he left for Germany. He never takes it off, no matter what he’s wearing, except for when he has to shower or wash his face. It is a reminder to himself about what his goals are during and after college. Despite this ‘punk-ish’ appearance, he still is very much the ‘honor student’ type.

Curiously enough, even though he was surrounded by so many people who adored him, girls especially, Tezuka never carried on a serious relationship. There were always professional relationships and work relationships but never a personal one. He attributes this to the fact that he hasn’t felt that connection just yet. Even so, he isn’t actively seeking a relationship. He would rather have nature take its course and if sparks seems to fly, then wonderful, if not, it just wasn’t meant to be and he wouldn’t waste any time pondering what could have happened. He firmly believes that everything happens for a reason and there might be a bigger purpose involved.

Tezuka has always liked law and order, and so wants to pursue a career in the justice department. Be it a police officer or a judge, he hasn’t decided yet but he hopes to when he’s finished with his career at Hajime University. And of course, his grandfather has always been an inspiration and a role model. During his second year at Heidelberg University, Tezuka found out that his grandfather’s health was failing and he made the decision to go back to Japan to finish pursuing his degree . Why Hajime University as opposed to the other universities? One, he heard there were people he knew attending this prestigious university, from his mother, and two, their political science department were the best in the country and so he submitted his application. Hearing back fairly quickly and noting his acceptance, he finished his semester in Germany and took the opportunity of summer break to get settled in.
